After viewing a ton of tutorials on how to make a good lightsaber blade, I took all that knowledge and made my own simple process. First you’ll need a handle, I just cut out one of these:
Next I opened a new document and pasted in the handle over a simple black background. The next step is to make the blade using the rounded rectangle tool. Make sure that it is white.
Okay, now just set up you blade layer style like this:
